Safety and Functionalities

The aim of this WorkPackage is to define, develop and demonstrate system functionalities guaranteeing a sustainable use of medium modular vehicles circulating in urban areas. Activities are structured following two main factors affecting Safety issues - i.e. predictive anti-rollover, pedestrian/vulnerable-user protection, collision avoidance & driver assistance - and Environmental friendly functionalities (Low Noise & Fuel Economy).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Main objectives are:

 

  • develop the Predictive anti-rollover functionality for Urban Goods delivery Trucks
  • develop the Pedestrian / vulnerable-user protection functionality for Urban Goods delivery Trucks
  • develop the Collision avoidance - Driver assistance functionality for Urban Goods delivery Trucks
  • design vehicles and systems with the LOW NOISE Target
  • design vehicles and systems targeted to get Fuel Economy

 

Under this functionalities - to guarantee the sustainable use of medium modular vehicles inside urban areas – will be defined, developed and tested. Two key topics - Safety and Environmental friendly functionalities – will be analysed in depth.
